Curious about ThredUP? I tried it for you!

Gone are the days of hauling your unwanted clothing to a local consignment store and waiting four months to get a check after they've sold your items. There are an abundance of online resale options these days, ranging from Facebook consignment groups to eBay to a newer wave of curated online boutiques. I cleared out some items from my closet recently and decide to try one! This time, I tried ThredUP. ThredUP is an online consignment and thrift store where you send all your items directly to the company and they decide what they'll keep and what they'll recycle. I chose it for its convenience and the fact that I didn't have to ship multiple items to individuals or manage an online listing. 

Continuing our Taming Your Tech series, let's talk about cords, cables and wires. No matter how many times I see it, it still blows my mind how these items can multiply in a house. I've seen rat's nests of tangled mystery cords, piles of random tech accessories, and drawers so full of headphones you can't even close them. Stopping the madness won't take long, but you'll be amazed how much simpler your tech life will seem after.

It’s almost attic organizing season again! I love this time of year because it finally cools off enough to tackle this crazy space. Attics often collect unnecessary clutter and items that have outlived their useful lives. Sometimes, attics contain items that can be irrevocably damaged with improper storage. The Texas heat is hard on attics, critters can run amuck, and even a little moisture can cause mold and mildew. Here are some things that should never, ever be stored outside a climate-controlled space.

Due to my job, I get asked about how I organize my purse and wallet on a frequent basis. When I travel, I am probably even MORE organized that I am usually. I love traveling but packing is THE WORST, even if you’re organized! Lately, I’ve invested in some nicer luggage that has made packing much, much nicer.
